1. Overview
VitalFit is a personal wellness application. You may use VitalFit as a guest or sign in with Google to synchronize your information. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you. By using VitalFit, you agree to this policy.
2. Information we collect
We collect only the information needed to operate the features you choose to use:
- Account information: your name, email address, profile photo, and unique account identifier only when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Wellness entries: food names and calorie amounts, water intake, manually logged activities, goals, preferences, and reminder settings.
- Health Connect data: steps, heart-rate readings, and sleep data only when you grant the relevant Android Health Connect permissions. VitalFit reads this data to show it in your dashboard and progress views.
- Device permissions: notification permission, if granted, so VitalFit can send the hydration and movement reminders you configure.
3. How we use information
We use your information to provide the app, maintain your account, calculate daily totals and progress, synchronize your data across your signed-in sessions, show the health information you authorize, and deliver reminders that you configure. VitalFit does not use your information to make medical decisions or provide medical advice.
4. Where information is stored
For signed-in users, account and wellness data are stored in Google Firebase services, including Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore, so that your account can access its data. Google Sign-In is used to authenticate your account. Guest-mode entries remain on your device and are not synchronized to Firebase. These services process information under the Google Privacy Policy.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health information for advertising. We share data only with service providers that operate VitalFit’s account and cloud-storage functions, such as Google Firebase, or when required by applicable law.
6. Your choices and controls
- You can use VitalFit as a guest or decide to sign in, and you can decide whether to grant Health Connect and notification permissions.
- You can revoke Health Connect and notification permissions at any time in your Android settings.
- You can edit entries and preferences within VitalFit.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated VitalFit data by contacting us.
7. Data retention and security
We retain signed-in account and wellness information while your VitalFit account is active, or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. Guest-mode information stays on your device until you remove it or clear the app’s data. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access-controlled cloud services. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Children
VitalFit is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date on this page when we do.
